Studio Classes on Tuesday and Thursday Afternoons

MSFAC is for Grown-ups Too!

Need an excuse to do art? Come to Adult Open Studio classes! Each session will have instruction on techniques and medium in areas of painting, drawing, and sculpture. A wide array of supplies will be available allowing for endless possibilities of what you can create. All levels of experience are welcome to come, do your own artwork, work with an experienced artist-teacher, and have a great time. Cost is $175 for each seven week section (or $25 per class, if space allows. Please call 608.232.1510 at least three days in advance of the class.) Julie Ziah

First Fridays for Adults, 10AM-2PM

Make it a very special "TGIF" by creating something original and beautiful! On the first Friday of the month, we present a four-hour workshop taught by one of our extraordinary artist/teachers. The $40 fee includes a 45 minute break for lunch at Pasqual’s next door to MSFAC. (Cost of lunch is included in the price.)

In the Style of Monet: Learn impressionist painter Monet’s special painting techniques and incorporate them into your own painting. 802 Julie Ziah.
Friday, October 3
Fabric Landscapes. Design and create your own fabric landscape in a miniature quilt format. (Note: $10 optional finishing fee.) 803 Quinn Heneghan.
Friday, November 7
Self-Portraits: This class is all about you. Learn how to sketch and paint a portrait (of yourself or a beloved) in just a few hours! We'll look at a variety of famous self-portraits, and discuss how to create a likeness and mood in our own portraits. 804 Kindra Goehler.
Friday, December 5
Artist Books: We will be learning several different types of bindings and creating books that are great as sketchbooks, photo albums, journals (or whatever you can imagine.) 805 Julie Ziah.
