Why choose MSFAC?
Music-making is one of life’s greatest and lasting pleasures, one that can be shared with friends, family and potentially an even larger audience. Individuals of all ages and levels of talent reap lifelong benefits from music training, practice, and performance.

Our music faculty consists of highly skilled teachers who are talented, professional musicians as well. Every one of them has chosen to teach at the Monroe Street Fine Arts Center because they enjoy being part of this special community of colleagues, students, and families, learning together how to better express themselves through music and art.

You are welcome to join us. Because the student-teacher relationship is so important, we recommend that you begin by scheduling a half-hour “Meet and Greet” with one of our teachers. You’ll talk about your individual needs and interests, the instructor’s philosophy and your mutual expectations. And you’ll receive a “mini-lesson,” introducing you to the teacher’s particular style. From there, we hope you’ll make a commitment for a full semester of lessons, at the conclusion of which you’ll have an opportunity to perform at a student recital—live on the stage of the Monroe Street Fine Arts Center!
